Carmelo and Marianna Ferlita are a husband and wife team dedicated to quality on-trend and classic styling. Together they have lived and worked in some of the most fashion and beauty conscious cities of the world.
Carmelo trained in London in the prestigious hair chain Steiner’s of Mayfair. After perfecting his craft, he was selected to work on the exclusive cruise liner, The Queen Elisabeth II. Amongst his clientele were Arab and French royalty, as well as demanding American billionaires. Proving the challenges with such a wide diversity of culture and hair types can be met with style, charm and talent. It was now time for Carmelo to open one of his several hair salons in England; starting with his first salon in the up-market town of Weybridge at just the young age of 24. He then decided to dedicate the next 5 years to his own artistic signature style in Florence, Italy. Adding expertise colouring and colour correction training by Wella and L'Oréal Professional. Frequently attending fashion and hair shows in Milan, Rome and Bologna. He was than talent scouted by the renowned Pino Cappasso in Florence. Here he expanded his craft of precision cutting and hair straightening the toughest of curly, unruly hair - before the time of hair straighteners! When he met his wife Marianna, they were able to perfect the 'head to toe' package.
Marianna comes from a long line of hair dressers and beauty therapists in New York and New Jersey. Before she had even begun to take her qualifications, she had already had 10 years of apprenticeship in the summers and after school working and learning of what would then prove to be the engrained roots to her life-long love and career. After achieving a university degree, Marianna went off to explore her artistic side in Florence, Italy. At the young age of 23, she travelled and lived amongst her ancestors. She engulfed herself into Italian heritage and culture. There she expanded horizons, becoming fluent in the Italian language and perfecting her knowledge of art as well as the beauty industry. With Italian women being at the height of fashion, their image of beauty, youth and well-being is of top priority; not as a treat as seen in other cultures. Later when meeting Carmelo her husband to be, they realised they shared the same Italian culture and embraced the same passion for hair, beauty and artistic desires. The Beauty Garden was born; a relaxing venue for hair, beauty and holistic therapy. Their ethos is simple; "Health, healing and well-being and a beautiful new you. We’re just what your body ordered."
